The revolution in the world of mechanization began in the early 1700s at an astounding pace throughout the 19th century. At the beginning of the 20th century started the second industrial revolution. In this revolution, the main contributor was the development of machines running on electrical energy. At this time, electrical energy was primarily used as a source of power. The advancement of machines saw a shift from water and steam-powered machines to electrical machines. These machines were more efficient in comparison to the former ones that were comparatively resource hungry and inefficient.

The mass production of goods using the assembly line was also a standard practice in this era. Apart from that, the second industrial revolution contributed to the evolution of industry culture as well. Various production management techniques like – just-in-time manufacturing, division of labor, and refined processes to ensure quality output.

In the last decades of the 20th century, we saw the invention of the electronics industry.
